Of course you're a team player. Of course you're good on the phone, computer and calculator. But this role goes beyond the obvious. We need you to:
- Be the main point of contact for both English speaking and Spanish speaking customers who are looking for answers regarding their healthcare and retail credit cards.
- Discuss payment options and educate our customers on our various promotional plans.
- Answer inbound calls from customers regarding their credit card inquires. 
- Resolve credit inquiries on new accounts. 
- Achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction through one call resolution.  
- Maintain and improve customer/client relations 
- Consistently improve overall activation and retention of cardholders.

Please note that candidates for this role will not be eligible for transfers internally to other Synchrony Financial / GE businesses.

This Work at Home position is ideally suited for candidates seeking long-term, part-time employment with one of the world s largest and most respected companies.

This is a PART-TIME position, working 19.5 hours or less a week, with limited benefits.

This position requires at least 6 months of previous general Customer Service experience or equivalent military experience. This position also requires all applicants to live within 65 miles of our Tempe facility.

A Day in the Life 
  • Field inbound Customer Service and HSN.Com support calls with potential for extended periods of high volume 
  • Take sales calls and offer required upsells – making compelling offers, presenting appropriate alternatives when necessary, and asking for the sale 
  • Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for customer care excellence, maintaining focus and positivity while resolving challenging or complex problems 
  • Apply active listening skills, interject and paraphrase appropriately to best understand the customer’s needs and wants 
  • Make confident decisions and take meaningful and appropriate action using available tools and resources according to SOPs 
  • Troubleshoot problems encountered within the customer digital self-service experience 
  • Take personal initiative to achieve goals and objectives 
  • Meet all key performance Indicators - Quality, Average Handle Time and Schedule Compliance 
  • Other related job duties as assigned

Must Haves

As a City Specialist, you will respond to customer requests which come in via phone, e-mail and chat, and provide personalized solutions within specific timeframes. While your work will tend to be focused on a specialized category or destination, requests can range across categories. You will also help cultivate partner relationships in vertical industries which are central to providing the access customers expect from a concierge service. 

Our Concierge Team has a wealth of resources at their disposal (e.g. team members, curated content, industry partners, and proprietary knowledge system), and as a City Specialist, you will provide them a virtual experience and contacts in your city that create the “insider experience” our members are looking for.

As a City Specialist, you must be:

  • A specialist in two or more of the areas below:
    • First Hand City Knowledge of local events and ability to spot trends in all Cities
    • Two years’ experience working directly with restaurants in key destinations, and the ability to make contacts in all destinations
    • Two years’ experience making travel reservations as either a Travel Agent, or Concierge and have key contacts in the Travel Business
    • Five years direct experience working with customers in a luxury environment
  • Able to use web-based and/or computer-based programs to assist customers, enter pertinent customer data, and process required information; 
  • Able to type at least 35 words per minute;
  • Able to build relationships with key businesses.
  • Highly resourceful, strong investigative nature and knowledge of various market offerings;
  • Outstanding customer satisfaction and follow through skills; understanding the highest levels of customer service;
  • Polite, friendly and knowledgeable phone demeanor;
  • Highly adaptable, self-motivated and self-disciplined;
  • Able to learn and work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Detail oriented with focus on quality and accuracy, ability to multitask, strong sense of urgency and commitment to excellence;
  • Able to thrive in a performance-based environment.

You must have the following experience:

  • 5+ years related customer service or hospitality experience required.
  • 3-8 years concierge experience preferred.
  • Travel agency experience or previous international travel experience preferred.

You are qualified for this position if you have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; 
  • Some college required.  Degree preferred;
  • Strong local knowledge of restaurants, hotels, clubs, etc. and established connections with key players;
  • Strong computer and internet skills.  Able to learn quickly in a technical environment;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;
  • Ability to successfully pass a credit, criminal and employment reference security check
  • A home office environment that is ergonomically sound, conducive to taking customer calls, quiet and free from distraction;
  • Ability to perform work at a workstation for up to 95% while taking client calls.
  • A reliable means of transportation for customer meetings and networking.
