Making the choice to telecommute has many advantages. I mean, you're saving on lunches, work attire, gas, and sometimes even childcare. As fantastic as all of these things are, working at home also comes with challenges. Depending on the position you have, there are sacrifices that you might have to make in terms of your financial habits due to the choice to telecommute. Some employers feel that because you are saving so much by working at home, that equates to a lower wage. You can weigh the options out and see what works best for your individual/family circumstance.
