Data Entry Specialist (work from home)

We are looking for a Data Entry Specialist to update information on our company databases and Marketing tools. This is a homebased opportunity!
Our ideal candidate has essential data entry skills, like fast typing with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms. Previous experience as a Data entry clerk or similar position will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Insert customer and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Keep information confidential
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Ensure proper use of tools and databases and reports any malfunctions encountered
Requirements
  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data entry operator 
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs
  • Typing speed and accuracy
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

Pay Rate:  We will pay based on your performance. On an average, we are willing to pay $2.00 per 60 successful data entries.

POSITION INFORMATION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for assisting customers with travel requests by answering incoming calls and matching the features and benefits of Alaska Airlines to the needs of the passengers
  • Answer customer's inquiries regarding all aspects of their travel on Alaska Airlines or one of our travel partners
  • Ability to handle customer questions, complaints, and inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to resolve customer issues with first call resolution
  • Assist customers with technical website and mobile navigation needs
  • Make new reservations and change existing reservations on scheduled domestic and international flights
  • Perform both computer and inbound/outbound telephone related tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

HOURS
  • The call center is open 24/7/365
  • Candidates must be flexible and willing to work early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
TRAINING
  • We will have training classes starting monthly throughout 2018.
  • This will take place at our call center in Boise, Idaho.
  • Training is structured and fast paced. We encourage new hires to study daily in order to pass weekly exams.
WORK FROM HOME PROGRAM
  • Agents will be required to work from home; some in-office time is required.
  • Requirements for work from home: agents must live within 100 miles of the call center located in [Insert City and State of Call Center location] and within the state of [Insert State of Call Center Location]; must establish and maintain designated work area; must maintain at your own expense a dedicated telephone line and high-speed, hard wired internet connection - Minimum connection speeds must be met.

  • Like many airline positions, Reservations Sales Agents are part of a union that will require initiation fees and monthly dues.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Demonstrated proficiency and agility with adopting, utilizing and navigating new and rapidly changing technologies and applications on handheld and other multi-media devices required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and aptitude to use computers and related technology skillfully required
  • Fluent in Spanish highly preferred
  • Proficient keyboard skills required
  • Must have strong customer service skills and a professional and pleasant phone demeanor
  • Must possess exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills in order to assist customers and interact with coworkers

Monday - Sunday
Must work Monday, Friday and one weekend day. 
Option 1 - 8 am-4:30 pm (AZ time)

Training/Education
Three weeks of instructor-led paid training/education. Week one is accelerated classroom education with an instructor. Week two and three are hands-on education in small groups with an instructor. After initial education work independently with additional continued education courses and counseling from the manager, assistant manager and team coach. 100% attendance is required.
Our state-of-the-art Call Center provides a variety of in-bound call support. Call center team members take back-to-back, incoming customer calls and provide customers with general assistance before, during and after their rental.
  • Answer incoming calls and provide technical support and assistance with regards to our truck and trailer rentals, hitch products and all other services.
  • Receive and handle a large number of inbound calls daily.
  • Listening to customer concerns, documenting them and, resolving when able.
